Selling Property

“I’m thinking about selling my house.”

Deciding to sell you home and when is the single most difficult decision when selling you home. Now that may sound strange, but it’s true. There is a huge difference between talking about and actually making that full commitment. Depending on your situation, this could take a few days, a few weeks or even months. This is the true evaluation on how motivated you are at selling your home. That being said, not being on a two-week timeline is OK! It’s simply a different approach; so don’t be afraid to get all the necessary information upfront. Similar to the gravity of buying your home, selling it can be an even bigger emotional challenge. I work on your timeline; I work for you.

“How much is my home worth?”

Pricing your home is the single most important aspect in getting your house sold and sold quickly. It is common belief that the longer a house sits on the market that there must be something wrong with it. Thus the longer a house sits on the market, the lower the offers are given. Therefore, it is important to price your home accordingly for the current market. This is not always easy and requires research on what is unique to your neighborhood, your block and your home itself.

“How do I get my home ready?”

Staging a home is not as complicated as it looks. You don’t necessarily need to rent furniture and a new family just to sell your home. However, you do need to keep your home clean, organized and clutter-free. Although not always easy, having a tidy home is important for potential buyers to get beyond your personal touches and envision themselves in the space. This doesn’t mean you have to move out, but it may mean starting the moving process and packing up or storing items that are not immediately needed.
